  I was misled in thinking this was a upscale guesthouse but it is really a run-down hostel. Bathrooms are to share and there is no wifi unless you buy it from outside at a very expensive price. I arrived on a Saturday and I saw no one until the next night when a black mouse jumped on me while I was on the bed and clawed on me. When I called the manager in emergency, they hardly apologized and said it's "common" in the tropics. I have travelled to many destinations and never encountered a mouse in a bedroom and would not come again.

  Fabulous place. Privacy with a lovely little court yard attached. Clean amenities short walk to beach and stroll to night markets. Lovely helpful cleaner named Lovie and most patient understanding manager Brendan (due to having to ring him at inconvenient times .....twice) would definitely return

  It's a nice hostel and a good base to explore the island. The only disadvantage of this hostel is that there is no airconditioning, so you better stay outside during the day. (although the island is way too nice to spend time in your room during the day) It's close to the beach, although if you want a nice beach with nice sand to swim you've to walk a little further (if you don't want to step on the beach cucumbers).

  This place offers a nice social shared area where you always find people to talk to but it also gives you the possibility to step back and enjoy your private space if you want to. It is social but not a party place and the owners like to keep it this way. It is very clean, the owners are friendly and down to earth and it is a good base to discover Rarotonga. There are Scooter / car rental places, shops and restaurants close by and the nicest beaches and snorkeling grounds are all close by.
